Anton Giulio Bragaglia
Italy (1890—1960)Trained as an assistant director at his father’s film studio, Bragaglia spent his entire career in theatre and cinema. In 1911, he published Fotodinamica Futurista and Manifesto of Futurist Cinema. That same year, he became editor of the magazine L’Artista, and a few years later he founded Cronache d’Attualità. He also founded the film studio Novissima-Film and produced Futurist films. A promoter of Futurist art, he opened the Casa d’Arte Bragaglia gallery in 1918. He also founded the Teatro Sperimentale degli Indipendenti between 1922 and 1916. Between 1937 and 1943, he became director of the Teatro delle Arti. Until his death in 1960, he continued to write articles and books about theatre, art and cinema.
