Hans Jenny
Switzerland (1904—1972)
Swiss based Jenny graduated in Basel and after his doctorate he taught science at the Steiner School. In his career he studied and documented the sound waves and how sound vibrations affected different substrates, such as fluid, powder, liquid paste. In 1967 he compiled and edited the photographs and commentaries to his scientific research into the book Cymatics: The Study of Wave Phenomena. Another booked followed in 1972, year of his death.
