Karel Ludwig

Czech Republic (1919—1977)
Born in Prague, Ludwig went to Zlín to study business but he started to collaborate on Zlín magazine, as reportage photographer. In 1940 he met Time and Hájek and started to work at the Amateur Photographers’ Club and publish on magazines such as Zdroj, Ahoj, Sobota and Salon. In 1941 he started to collaborate with the National Theatre and later in 1943 he established and ran the photography publicity department at Lucernafilm. In 1949 he joined the Association of Czechoslovak artists.
