Maurice Tabard

France (1897—1984)
Born in France and emigrated to US with his father, Tabard studied at the New York Institute of Photography. Soon after he opened his portrait studio and few years later he moved back to Paris, where he specialised in fashion photography. In Paris he met Philippe Soupault, Man Ray, Kertész and Magritte. His work largely reflected the Surrealist aesthetics and inspiration.
