Erich Consemüller

Germany (1902—1957)
After his training in carpentry, Consenmüller enrolled at the Bauhaus in 1922 studying under Itten, Klee and Gropius. He continued his carpentry studies at the Bauhaus Dessau with Marcel Breuer. In 1927 he was commissioned by Meyer to document the interiors of Bauhaus with more than 300 photographs. During 1930s he worked as a building consultant and Professor of architecture and advertising department at the School of Applied Arts in Halle. He was employed by Walter Born in Leipzig until the end of WWII, when he moved to the town planning department for the city of Halle.
