Ladislav Foltyn
Slovakia (1906—2002)Born in 1906, Foltyn studied at the Bauhaus from 1929 to 1932, where he attended the photography course directed by Walter Peterhans and developed a style characterised by clear lines and carefully balanced compositions. Alongside his work as an architect, he pursued photography, focusing mainly on still lifes and often relating their organic forms to music, another of his passions. He later wrote several books on architecture, including Slowakische Architektur und die tschechische Avantgarde.
