T. Lux Feininger

Germany (1910—2011)
Son of Lyonel Feininger, T. Lux studied at Bauhaus Dessau under Albers, Klee, Kandinsky. He worked also as a photojournalist, documenting Bauhaus everyday life in the New Vision style he inherited from Moholy-Nagy. He started his career painting under the pseudonym of Theodore Lux. From 1937 he left Germany for US, where he settled for the rest of his life. From 1947 he signed his paintings with his family name.
